Kristine DuFrene Leukemia Awareness Wristbands
Hayato Yuuki, a friend of Dave and Kristine's, wanted to help out in some way and came up with this brilliant idea. He purchased leukemia awareness wristbands personalized with Kristine's name to help raise funds. 100% of the funds raised will help cover the mounting medical bills and additional daycare costs that will arise while Kristine is hospitalized and once she returns home as she will be too weak to care for the kids by herself and Dave will need to go back to work.
Many of you have asked how you can help Dave and Kristine. THIS IS HOW YOU CAN HELP! If you'd like to donate funds by purchasing a wristband, please respond to this message by clicking on "comment" below or contact Hayato Yuuki via Facebook. Each bracelet will be $10, $20 however much you are willing to donate. Let's help Dave and Kristine fight the fight!! And remember to say your prayers for Kristine as well. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteThis is a Great Idea! Kristine and Dave, Not sure if Kelly mentioned me or not but I am a stage 4 Non-hodgekins Lymphoma survivor. If there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to ask. You are in my thoughts everyday. I won't give you any advice but I'm happy to share my experience, strength and hope. I was diagnosed 1 month after my 2nd child was born. It sucked. Duh. Winning. (Sorry Charlie seems to be Channeling through just about everybody these days, including me.) Anyway, yeah it sucked but I was fortunate to realize early on that thinking about it sucking was not going to get me better and it's extremely important that I get better, not only for me but for the people that love me. My experience is that the more I laughed the better I felt. Fortunately the universe saw fit to put people in my life that made me laugh when all I wanted to do was cry. A quick story that really helped me to smile... My daughter Olivia was 5 years old when I was diagnosed. While I was going through treatment my wife took Olivia to build a bear workshop and Olivia a built a stuffed monkey for me. She recorded her voice singing to me and put it in the monkey. The lyrics were set to the tune of "Momma's little baby loves shorten bread" she changed the words to "Every Little cell in Daddy's body's healthy every little cell in daddy's body's well." I had that toy with me every time I went to the hospital to be infused for the next 2 1/2 years. I also sang the song to myself often. I'm very grateful to be in remission now.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you. It appears that you are surrounded by love and that is healing. I'm praying that every little cell in your body's healthy.
